This is an American recipe which I haven't tried.
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1 3/4 cups sugar
1 3/4 cups plain flour
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup non-fat sour cream
1/4 cup corn syrup (golden syrup?)
2 teaspoons white vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup walnuts (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly butter a 9 x 2 x 13-inch pan
2. In a large bowl, combine cocoa, sugar, flour, oil, sour cream, corn syrup, vinegar and baking soda. With a handheld electric mixer set on medium speed, beat ingredients until smooth, approximately 3 minutes. With a wooden spoon, fold in chocolate chips and chopped walnuts (if used).
3. Pour batter into prepared pan evenly and bake for 20 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack for 30 minutes. Cut with a sharp knife.
Variation: For a little sweeter brownie you may add 1/3 cup corn syrup instead of 1/4 cup.
